When I was in my junior year of high school, I took an AP psychology class and loved it. The teacher was wonderful, and there were new intriguing concepts for us to learn every day. But the one thing I continually noticed through my studies was how useful and applicable some of these psychological concepts were! They discussed everything from test-taking strategies to anger management. This was such a treasure trove of mental health resources that the average person wouldn't have access to unless they wanted to pore through thousands of pages of textbook material with confusing language and lesson plans. That was the moment the idea sparked in my head that I could use this info and share it through a site like Neuro. There were already plenty of mental health services available through sites and apps, but I knew the way this idea used real experiments and terminology, and helped people solve everyday problems while educating them was unique. In the future, I hope to work on an app to accompany the site so people can access this knowledge with the click of a button on their phones!
